Dear Friends and Supporters
Welcome to The River Flows Foundation cause of “Saving Girls, One Girl at a Time.” Our faith teaches us to help those in need, especially children. Humanity also teaches us to be kind to others and kindness leads us to show compassion to those in need. Abused and neglected girls are vulnerable individuals who needs our kindness and compassion, to rescue them from their abusive environment and give them the opportunity to overcome their hurt and pain. TRFF founders saw the need to address the necessities of this vulnerable population. Hence, our vision to build and manage a home to help rescue these girls, in the Penal/Siparia Region of Trinidad.

A Charitable Non-For-Profit Organization Founded Upon Strong Ideals and Passion
The River Flows Foundation (TRFF) was founded on a vision, strong ideals and great passion of its leader to help girls living in abusive situations in the Penal/Siparia Region, Trinidad, West Indies. After engaging in a broad and detail thought process and discussion with law enforcement personnel, educators and residents in the Penal/Siparia community, it was determined that the most vulnerable population in this community was girls that are abused and neglected. Currently, children who have become victims of incest relationships and other abuse in most cases have no choice but to stay in the homes they are being abused in. The effects and impact of abuse on children affect their psychological, emotional, social development and stability in life and society at large. Given the current situation there is a need for additional resources and facilities to help this vulnerable population.
To assist in the daunting tasks of addressing this social problem and immediate need to help this vulnerable population, TRFF progressive founders saw the need for a community and partnership centered organization to work with the community to bring change and improve the social fabric of their community. TRFF has embarked on a journey with the vision of building and managing a home that will initially take care of approximately 16 abused and neglected girls at a time in the Penal/Siparia Region. The land for the home has been acquried.
Central to helping this vulnerable population is a holistic approach focused on the broad needs of the girls in its charge. The broad needs include a safe, loving and stable home, building the girls in its care: self-esteem and confidence; a sense of spiritual perseverance; a foundation to be self-reliant; and a sense of service to others and their community. This approach is based on the ideals and passion of the leader for modeling and multiplying excellence in the organization and across the community, with the ultimate goal of building a community driven by purpose and service to others.
To achieve the goal of taking care of abused girls through a holistic approach, TRFF desire is to develop and implement a model that focuses on the following programs:
